More celebrities to the ABC Open Day (April 30, 2010)
I am pleased to say that once again this year my actor friends are rallying and coming to the Alexandra Bastedo Champions Animal Sanctuary (ABC) Open Days on June 5th and 6th. Joanna Lumley has work commitments so unfortunately although she is now our patron she will not be able to come. However, Lisa Goddard, Sue Jamieson, Lorraine Chase, and Peter Egan have all said they will be attending.
All the volunteers are working desperately hard to get the centre into shape and on the Open Days there are all manner of attractions for both adults and children.. There is live music, an outdoor Blessing of the Animals on the Sunday, a barbecue, a noodle bar and even an exhibition of Chinese cooking. Tickets, available at the gate are £4 and children go free..
